We’re seven days in for my 30 days of Wii Fit and I’ve had positive results so far even though I had two days in a row without working out. As of last night’s measurement I’m down 6 lbs. from when I started. I don’t  really believe it, maybe 3 or 4 but even that seems unlikely. Who knows, my body might be in overdrive.

The interesting thing to me is that Katie and I are using it for continually lengthening times. When we started it was 7-8 minutes, then the next time we went up to 10. The time after it was 12-14 minutes and then last night we both did it for 20+ minutes.

I’ve discovered my best cardio workout is, *ahem*, the hula hoops. I hate running, my knees and body hate it too. But I can swing my hips! I’ve progressed up to the advanced hula hoops with extended time so the next time I do it, it’ll be six minutes of core workout.

I think the major boost is that in doing this I am much more aware of what I’m eating, how much I’m eating and when I’m eating. The downside is that I’ve been drinking soda and energy drinks due to short nights and needing the energy. The plan is to crash at home after work to prepare for the Magic tournament tomorrow.
