Had a dream that I met a Genie and wished for every oil and fracking mining operation produced only water from now on.
No idea how catastrophic that would be, but I have to give my subconscious credit for creativity. I guess climate change has been on my mind.
Last night I had a dream that was partial anxiety dream. I was at some sort of event and I needed three types of papers to get through. I feel like they were medical, like my doctor needed to write a note, and then two other things. I had them and then of course as I get to the front of the line I suddenly didn't have them.
It was a weird dream because I wasn't stressed. I was annoyed. I knew, for a fact, that I could just print off my papers again. It just would mean going through the queue line again.
Weird.
A Learning Salon
I can only assume it's a combination of the Social School thing I shared a week or so ago, and other latent subconscious wants, but last night I had a dream about hosting a "learning salon" which is disappointingly fancy sounding for my brain, but the idea was having people over to the house for the express purpose of studying or learning things - both as a group and as an individual.
I think we were learning Dutch as a group? And I recall a few people knitting a giant... sock? Something tubular and far too large to be worn by a normal person.
Anyways, that happened last night.
Update: And as soon as I finish posting this, I remember the other clobbering fact of the above dream. A very familiar face suddenly appeared at the gathering, but it was notably a coworker who passed away several years ago - however I took the appearance entirely in stride as I knew it was their twin brother (who doesn't exist.)
A Dreamt Apple Prototype Goose Chase
I had a wild dream last night which involved me being in school and having to upend my day to find a lost Apple prototype device which had been loaned to me that I had completely forgotten about. I recall it involved, at one point, riding in a massive SUV with Idris Elba as he drove very aggressively. It ended up with me reminding them about "Find my phone" and them looking up the device's location.
How to build a small town in Texas
Far more theoretical than I realized, and it doesn't delve into the politics needed for founding a town. But the author lays out a lot of things I hadn't considered (and probably would not have ever.) It's a highly idealistic vision, but an entertaining read none-the-less.
