You get exactly what's on the tin with this one. It's a silly action movie around rescuing J. K. Simmons as Santa Claus. Katie and I went to see it to get out of our cold dark house and it was a very enjoyable time.

Another Successful Holiday Party
Our ninth annual holiday party on Christmas was a success. We host a relaxed gathering on Christmas for people needing something to do, and tonight went smooth and was enjoyed by all.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip's Best Segment
Katie and I watched the series, and while it has numerous problems, we still enjoy it. However, without a doubt, and by a wide margin - this clip from their Christmas episode is the best.
It features artists from New Orleans being brought in to perform on the show (and in real life.)

Had a surprise outside during our annual Christmas party
Every Christmas we host a party for friends and others who can't be with anyone for the holiday. This year we had around 15 people over, as well as surprise visit by the fire department after our neighbors had an emergency of sorts.
Haven't gotten to speak with the neighbor yet, and hope everything works out for them. But it was a big surprise to see a 40 foot truck stopped directly outside our house.

My Christmas Movie Scale
Every year we see the debates regarding whether a movie is or isn't a Christmas movie. Usually done with humorous intent, but sometimes it comes from someone's earnest belief. In the case of the latter, then all that matters is that you believe it, and you can proselytize it to others and try to bring them around to your side.
For me, I think it is more beneficial (and with just as much opportunity for comedy) to move from the binary of "Is" and "Isn't" to a scale. I propose 1-7 for ease while also allowing plenty of granularity.

Advent of Code
Like NaNoWriMo, this is 25 days in December of coding puzzles. I have known of it but haven't ever participated before, so I'm not exactly sure what I'm in for. I intend to participate with Javascript, as an exercise to improve my skills there for working with it as more than just for on-page shenanigans.
